So I Just bought myself a completely knew computer. I have the Asrock Extreme3 970 motherboard, r9 390 graphics cards, Amd Fx 8350 Processor Black Edition, and i'm using my old harddrive from my last computer. First problem I had with the computer was a beep code I was getting of 3 long beeps that just keep repeating themselves. I was told to take everything out of my case and set everything up out side of my case. The beep codes went away. But I seem to not being able to get it to recognize my monitor. So I am not sure if the computer is booting correctly since I have no image to tell me otherwise. When I turn on the computer all the fans and and components seem to turn on but I have not clue if the computer is actually booting. I'm not sure if this is a software issue or if something is wrong with my motherboard. I'm Using 8g of sniper ram.

The Graphics Card uses dvi-d and hdmi connections which my moniter does nto have so I bought the dvi-d and vga adaptor so I could connect my moniter to my computer. Also bought a cheaper graphics card with a vga connection to see if it was just a software issue but I can not get the cheaper graphics card with vga connection to recognize that theres a moniter connected.

Hi there,

Try the bare essentials boot method. Only connect the computer power supply, motherboard, CPU, one stick of RAM, and the video card onto the motherboard. Then turn on the computer and see if you can at least get the computer to post.

Hope this helps you out.

Yeh I can't get the computer to even recognize the monitor its 7 years old but still decent monitor. I've tested both the vga and hdmi connection on other systems and I've gotten them to work. I've even tried using different ram from the old computer but can't seem to get the monitor to respond. There was that 3 beep code which tech support suggested that my ram was faulty but like I said I've tried 4 different sticks of ram. Also the beep code does not happen anymore. The monitor is an old hannspree Hf207 model.

Then I would take it to a repair shop, they can't charge that much to test it because the only thing left would be the motherboard. Take the ram out of the slots and try to start again, you should hear 3 beeps and if you don't then the ram is incompatible.
The other ram you tried what was it and did you try just 1 stick of it which you should try?
