I just installed a new E2200 Dual core 2.2ghz onto my board and installed windows, windows works fine and all its just turning on the computer the screen comes on black and I constantly have to push the reset button. After about 3-5 pushes it boots fine.

I'm running;

Intel Dual Core E2200 2.2GHz
4GB DDR2 667
ASRock 4CoreDual-SATA2 R2.0 Motherboard
250GB SATA HDD
Antec 650 Watt PSU
EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512MB Superclocked
2 22x DVDRW (One is SATA connection)
D-Link Gigabit Ethernet PCI card
Creative Sound Blaster SE
AND 3 Case fans/1 PCI slot fan

Any thoughts?

Did this setup run before the cpu upgrade?
Did you upgrade anything else, ram for example?

the setup was the same as before, I only swapped out the cpu and put on an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro fan. That and dropped my old dvd rom for a sony sata dvd rw.

Oh and this time around I plugged my front side audio in, it wasn't hooked up before but I doubt that'll do it...

Thats strange according to your motherboard specs it only supports 2 gig of ram and you have 4 installed

Can you try running it with just 2 gig installed

alright I'll give that a shot ^^
It does allow me to use the 3.5 of the 4 with windows though, Might also be why in the past the start up took a while anyways.

I should have mentiond this before but it would be a good ide to clear the cmos then enter bios and load the optimized defaults and redo any other setting you need
