Hi everyone,

I've created a ms-dos boot disk, and what i want to know is if i can access my c: drive when i boot form it.

When it boots its a "A:\"

I use the normal command of "c:" but it says wrong drive specification or something like that.

Thanks for the help.

XP and previous Windows versions format floppies with FAT filesystems because NTFS would be too large for floppy usage. Floppies that are formatted as FAT cannot read NTFS partitions, which is why you get that error.

Your best bet would be to boot from your Windows CD (or the 4 floppies) and go to the Recovery Console, which will allow you to repair or work from the C: prompt in command line mode.
