Boot Disk to load Wipe Application

1370 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  CCT
Hi,

So im trying to make a Boot Disk that will load up a PC Wipe application. For work we need to wipe all the hard drives before disposing them.

I made a windows boot disk and tried putting the application files on the disk. When it started to boot to the floppy a error came up saying: "the following file is missing or corrupt - command.com".

What would be the easiest way to boot into a DOS mode without this error? Or even better, how could i make the floppy boot up and then automatically load the application?

Any advice would be great!

Thanks!

you need to add Command.com to your boot floppy. But rather then mess with that, download the Bootable ISO image of Killdisk and burn the image with IMGBurn. Boot off of your newly created CD and wipe the drives.
