Bluetooth audio choppy in Win 7...

Can anyone tell me why my bluetooth audio devices (fully charged headphones & usb dongle) chop the audio into 1 second pulses of "on" & "off"
in Windows 7?? I know I've had it working in Win 7 before. The same headset and dongle works great in XP.
I've tried turning off all the start-up items in msconfig-no difference.
I've run out of hunches and ideas. ?????

Is the dongle in the Back USB port, not the front or through a hub? As those ports are weaker. Did you install drivers for Windows 7? Have you gone to the manufacturers web site and see if they have an updated driver?
