Straight to it... I bought a new pc, an acer aspire M1641(2.6ghz core 2 duo, 2gb ddr2 ram, 320gb hdd, and and nvidea geforce 7050 on the motherboard)... It came pre-installed with vista home basic, i used vista for a week or so and tried installing alcohol120, when the alcohol installation was done the pc restartd and wen i tried 2 log on i got the blue screen, tried safe mode and went directly 2 the blue screen, i then tuk my hdd out and formattd it on another pc... Tried installin xp s.p 2 then 3, but i keep getting the same error "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down 2 prevent damage 2 ur pc... Check for viruses on ur pc, remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. check ur hard to sure its is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart ur pc. Technical informatio: *** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)... plz help me!

When you format a drive, it doesn't delete data, it more "marks" the files to be overwritten, so Alcohol 120 will still be there, just not seen.
Wipe your disk completely with DBAN: http://www.dban.org/download
Chose the one For CD and DVD media
Download ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download and use it to burn the .iso of DBAN so it's bootable
Running this will wipe absolutely everything off the drive. It writes all the sectors as 0.
