sometimes when i use my computer. my computer suddenly pops out a blue screen and says that i have some error and shows this technical information:

STOP:0x000000Da,0x00000044,0x00000002,0x00000001,0xF717A89F

Address F717A89F base at F7152000, DateStamp 410e3cfd

Dumping physical memory

what does this mean and can someone tell me what is the cause of this problem? is it a hardware that needs update?

IM using WinXP SP2

Are you overclocking the system at all? This can cause instabilities, that generate these 'blue screens of death'.

If your not overclocking, there could still be a heat issue with the processor. Sometime the heatsink moves, or is not alligned on the chip properly, or too much/too little thermal compound.

but...

it could also be a virus or a whole host of other things, like a piece of hardware failing, dirty power....

So How Do i Fix this problem i've tried using norton anti-virus to scan it but it always scan out adware only and this problem still continues
