Hi im new to this forum and im a network engineer. Is it possible for me to block an ip address from accessing the internet completely on my network without unplugging the network cable? I am using a lynksys router which in turn is connected to other switches. If there is a way out please let me know and also the procedure.

You note the mac address of the unit you want to block.
In the router you would create a schedule which is a deny and add that mac address

some routers don't do schedules by mac but by ip
in this case you would do a ip reservation with that mac address
