Blocked Ports -.-

2264 Views 14 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Caskinsro
Currently running Win 7 64 bit.
I am 100% sure it is has nothing to do with my modem or router, modem is bridged and I have the ports completely opened.

I removed the only antivirus I had (Kaspersy), used the removal tool, but my ports are still blocked and I have no idea why.

Ive ran tests and will attach them. I would love if anyone can help me solve this :(

By "Ports" we assume you mean the ports on your router. Have you gone into your Router Setup to Port Fowarding and manually chose what ports you want to open?
Hi a quick thought what about the firewall either windows or on your router
Exactly which ports do you have opened? If you have all your ports open, that's a bad thing.
They are all "open" but none of them can be reached. Right now my modem is directly connected connected in bridged mode, but I cannot reach any ports. I need to find out what is blocking all the connections.

I do not have a firewall installed (Windows firewall is disabled) and Kasperspy was removed using the removal program.
I really have no idea why they are still blocked, but they need to be opened -.-
We are still not sure what you are trying to achieve, what ports in particular you want to open and why. Here is another page with some suggestions
Not all my ports are open, just the few I need opened (Hosting Webservers, TS Server, and a few other things)
But its just something in my computer that is rejecting the connections, saying that the ports cannot be reached.

My modems firewall was disabled a while ago, and is only happening with this computer. My vista can run them all fine, but the computer is getting really old and worn out, so I upgraded quite a bit.
Ok, ive already long done what this **** says.
If you would have read, I am in bridged mode, I have EVERYTHING i need fowarded, I have tried tweaking all the settings possible.
It has NOTHING to do at all with my modem.
Did you have an infection on this machine? Especially one of the rogue program types?

If so, check in Control Panel>Internet Options>Connections>Lan Settings. If you are not using a proxy, it should be set at Automatically detect settings. If you are using a proxy, make sure your settings are correct. This is a setting that this type of malware tends to make that is easy to overlook when cleaning.

After you solve this, close most of the ports. There are only a few that really need to be open. Leaving them all open leaves you very susceptible to getting infected again.

Edit: I see you added another reply where you contradicted what you said in the one I was replying to. Ignore the advice to close the ports.
Its nothing to do with any of this :/
Ive been over it all time after time with no luck what so ever.

I am getting fed up with trying to figure this out. The issue occured when I changed my ISP. Im just starting to think that they are blocking the port on their end so that I can't open it up for hosting...
Just got off the phone with my ISP again, got a new ip, they dumped my account and cleared it all up. Along with the cleaning, it boosted me back up to my 50 mbs, but I still have this issue.
We have both came to the conclusion that is has nothing at all to do with my modem or router, so this has to be something to do with the software on my computer. If anyone can help me figure this out I would be forever in your debt. I have been trying to solve this for over a year with NO luck and NO progress at all.

I am open to team view and things like such if anyone is willing to really take a thorough look at things and see if they can find any issues.

I have already attached a copy of my computer infomation along with some process lists. The only other info I can give is my ISP (Century Link) and my router is a Belkin N600 HD B+G+N.

Hope someone can help :( This is putting my game servers offline until the issue is fixed.

~~ EDIT ~~
Firewalls of everything are off, I am currently in Bridged Mode for my modem, and DMZ mode on my router. Ports are set to be forwarded, but I wouldnt be here if they were working -.-

Attached another report to show everything I could possibly find. Please let me know if anyone can figure anything out!

If you think it is your computer, have you tried a different computer?
Just to interject here, while you were on the phone with your ISP did you mention that you are running a game server? Most ISP will not allow servers to be run on non-business grade internet packages.
what he said ^
Plus ISPs cant block ports at your end the only person that can do that is you.
Issue solved.

It seems comcast no longer allows any form of hosting. Ports are closed on their end and it only took over a full year or bitching and calling nearly everyday of the week for them to tell me that.

Sorry for the issues everyone. Thanks for the help :/
