Does anyone have any idea how to block users from accessing certain folders (IE: Program Files). I can block access but then the program(s) won't run. I just don't want users snooping around the computer. So I would like to block them from viewing folders in windows explorer and even internet explorer. Maybe even password protect the folders. Any ideas?

right click on the folder under sharing tab check make this folder private. Then windows will ask you if you want to put a pw protection too, click on yes and proceed.

regards.

NTFS is the way.................

convert ur file system to NTFS, that's the best & cheapest way.
use the convert command in dos to do so.
with ntfs u can individually give/block read or write access without intrupting the execution of the exe's in it.

converting to ntfs wont hamper any of ur existing files, but if u 've to return back to FAT32 , u'll 've to format he drive and choose FAT32.

Yes I've converted to NTFS. But I can't quite figure out a way to block users from viewing files in explorer without it blocking their right to run the programs.
