Hi guys, I need assistance with my Packard bell laptop, just recently the laptop doesn't seem to be showing anything on the monitor, but I can hear the hard drive is on, all is well. Before this it kept on saying no bootable device.
Any advice please help!!
Thanks

this usually means the HDD has failed. Remove the HDD from the laptop, and attach it to a USB Adapter, Dock or Enclosure, when powered up, hear the drive spinning up, or is it making any scraping or clicking sound, or does it spin up then spin down? Any of these would mean the HDD has failed. If not then plug it into a working computer, you should be able to access the files on it.

What Spunk said ^^, also, the first time you're able to access the drive when you connect it externally, immediately grab a backup of your data without wasting time, there is no knowing if you will get a second chance...
