I would appreciate any help. This one has me stumped. Last night my computer was working fine. I went to bed and left it on like normal. I got up this morning and the CPU and monitor lights were both green and normal. But the monitor only showed a black screen.

I disconnected and reseated the monitor with no change. I got my hubby to plug the monitor into his laptop and instead of a picture he got the diagnostic screen saying monitor was working, check signal. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if he had actually booted up the laptop first or if he just plugged it in which was all I asked him to do <g>.

Any suggestions on where to do with this would be welcome!

Have him plug it into the laptop again and start it. If it does not show a picture, you may have to use the FN key plus one of the f keys to turn it on.

If it works on the laptop, we will try to find out why it does not work on the other machine.
