Hello All,

I have old Pionex PC purchased in 1999 with a Biostar M6TLD Motherboard with a 400/66 MMX PU in Slot 1. 256MB RAM. Would anyone be able to tell me if what the maximum speed CPU that can be used in this Motherbord?

Thank You for any help you can provide. John

Since this MB has an Intel 440LX chipset, you are limited to only a 66MHz FSB. The 400/66 is the max CPU you can have. You might check with powerleap to see if they have an upgrade that will let you run a faster CPU, but usually those upgrades cost more than it's worth.

Thanks so much for your quick response. It's very much appreciated! When you mention an upgrade to run a faster CPU, what type of upgrade are you referring to? An upgrade to a new Motherboard?

Thanks CraziJoe!
