hi,

so i got a asrock 970 3.0 version 1 and a fx 4300, however i have learned that the processor should work once bios is updated. Howver, it occurred to me that the processor might not work as bios not up to date at beginning.
so, anybody know if i run it will it work? willl it give me chance to updqte bios? or do i have to put in a lesser cpu, update bios then install new cpu?

Do you have any idea what bios is on it now?

It may work enough to flash the bios, make sure you use a cooler that blows down like Asrock recommends to properly cool the chips on the board around the CPU.

booted up fine in the end and then i flashed the bios with a usb stick.
works great after a couple of weeks use so far!
