bios upgrade Asus P2B 1.006 to 1.012

Hi,
I tried upgrading my bios. Everything seemed to go well, except that I got the message, "Error-Flash memory unknown" Anyone know what this means?

Sounds like you flashed your bios with a possible wrong bios version ?????

please give your mobo model / and bios utility used ???? (how did you flash your bios )

bios upgrade

Hi Joe,
My mobo is a P2B version 1.04
I used aflash.exe.
current Bios version <10/09/98 - i440bx- <<P2B>>-00
Aida says, Asus P2B ACPI Revision 1006.
I tried flashing it with BX2i1012.awd

I would try two things

A) download the newest a-flash utility for your mobo which is version 2.21 released on 12/23/2002

use Beta bios version 1014.003 released on 8/05/2002

let us know how you progress

I think that should do the trick >>>> I am assuming however that this mobo is a retail version mobo & not out of a compaq or HP or similar ??????
