Hi All,

Desperate - I'm quite new at this, so pls 4give me if i the msg is not very clear in the 1st instance.

I have a PC with two RAID disks that used to work but suddenly stopped booting up. I get the following msg: Bios not installed - No boot device available - strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility

Disconnecting either of the drives still won't work.

Any suggestion will be great as I have a deadline on this.

Cheers

If one of the drives has failed, you no longer have a boot device if they're configured as a RAID-O array.

I'd suggest you respond with make/model of the MB and exactly how they were configured.

Thanks guys for your speedy response, I got on to Dell and after some diagnostics, and flashing the bios they reckon it might be a MB issue and will pick up the machine for testing in their labs.
