hmm...

i'm curious how you are getting 2.4 gigs of ram into that machine.

what is each memory stick in there? do they match?

which of the cd's are you using to play it?

i'm pretty sure the 9200 is on the list of cards that will play it...
Perhaps he meant 2.4 GHz, 9200, 1 gig of ram? I dunno.

When the system freezes, can you ctrl-alt-delete? Potentially here your system is being overloaded and overheating. Bear in mind bf2 uses about 500+MB of RAM which is a lot, so more traffic means more heat.

Could be a graphics issue though, it depends. :4-dontkno
i gad a 9200 for awile and it wouldnt run bf2 then i got the 9800 pro and it took right off i think your right the 9200 dont support it
Indeed. Back when I was still running my 9200, it wouldn't load completely. Now, with my X800 XL, it runs fine. Unfortunately, there's no way around this one, but to get a better card.

Cheers,
Al
yes sometimes thats just the way it is :( but bf2 is a very good game so i guess its worth it
The 9200 is an out-dated video card. It will support BF2, but barely run it on low settings.
This is a fact! The 9200 is not a card for BF2.
thers some fixes for the 9200 so it can run bf2 google around and im sure you will find something. i will have a look into this tomorrow and will let you know
Why waste your time? The 9200 is not recommended to play BF2 PERIOD!

When the company posts "Minimum requirements" to play a game, you better double that to make the game enjoyable or playable for that matter.
hello all k i have a Nvidia 5200 fx 128 meg card it runs great not a bit of problems with it .might be heat prob but i did try my older 64 meg ti200 and it give me the same blank black screen coudnt even alt tab or control alt delete . need lots of power to run bf2 prob need more video ram ?
X700 (PCIe)
X600 (PCIe)
X800 XT Platinum Edition
X800 PRO
X300 series
9800 series
9700 series
9600 series
9559 (RV350LX)
9500 series
8500 series

These are the official supported ATI cards i have run the game with a 9200 however the rest of the system was on the high end for performance so cant say for sure. Many people report ATI problems on the planet battlefield forums where i ussualy find answers for the newest round of bugs in game  .

lol no i dont think a 64 meg can run BF2. I dont even think most of them are DirectX compatible. Last time i tried one was for Beyond good and evil and the card didnt support shading so no go :sayno: .
