i havent ever been big on linux, just kinda sticking with what i know...but i wanna learn how to use linux, can anyone recommend a good distro for a beginner? ive heard i should use debian, suse, and mandrake, but which one is actually the easiest to get up and running and just to learn with...

best for beginners IMHO : Mandrake 9.0
second best : Red Hat

SuSE only allows an eval edition for ftp...

debian/gentoo/slackware for the tweakers among us...

thanks for the tip, i took the 2.5 hours and downloaded all 3 cd's of mandrake today, prolly get around to installing and trying it out tonite....
