Hello I just upgraded my laptop from 512mb RAM to 2 GB 400 Mhz DDR RAM. Ever since I have done this both Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 run much better and much faster however both have the same problem.

Battlefield 1942 although being totally smooth and fast crashes to the desktop in 5-10 minutes.

Battlefield 2 is more stable, sometimes it can go for 30-45 minutes but once again crashes to the desktop.

Please note: Both games have been fully patched up to date.

***Both of these did not do this before I upgraded the laptop and worked well (except for BF2 which could be slow at times before upgrade)***

Please note I have also just freshly installed Win XP home

Here is my laptop spec:

Toshiba Satellite M30
130 GB RAM (in two partitions, upgraded 6 months ago, BF 1942 and 2 worked with this hardrive before RAM changed)
1.7 GHz Pentium M
2 GB RAM (just upgraded, I just slotted the two bits in, I used no software)
32 MB NVidia GeForce FX Go5200

From Battlefield 2 I received this message once when it crashed:

"memory.dll: sanity check: block size 29576928 (28.21 MB) doesn't seem sane"

I think obviously it has something to do with me having changed the RAM perhaps I need new software or something to fix the RAM? Also I'm not sure I can find the RAM in the device manager although that might be my noobity.

If anyone could give me some help as it is quite frustrating that the games now work very well but have this crashing problem :upset:!

Thanks
