i just recently got a acer, aspire one d260-a, its a windows xp but it wont turn on if i dont have the charger in, but when i do it turns on and says it on ac
power but it does not charge when i first got it, it was at 18% and now its on
14% and has been on charge ever since i got it, what does this mean?

Hi,

Acer's hardware reliability is useless in my experience, you definitely need a new battery as suggested above, however what intrigues me is you say you just recently got it? Is it brand new OTB or is it second hand? If it is brand new take it back and get a replacement.
