Please somebody help,
I have had the dsl from SBC Global Yahoo DSL for about 8 months now and for the last 3-4 months my connection keeps dropping. it can take 1 minute sometimes and all the way up to about 2 hours to drop and there is no pattern to it. i don't want their people out here cause they suck so i had a friend come and he said it's either the modem or router after some tests and checking every little thing,like replacing the filters on phone lines , (ect.).
I need to know if anyone knows of any quick fixes and known problems with either of my networking devices. My modem came with the service and it's a: Efficient Networks,Speedstream 5100/ and the router is a: DYNEX DX-E401 4-port. Also does anyone know how i can test these products easily on my own to see which is bad so i don't hafeto replace both. PLease someone help i am at the end of my wits!
