I noticed a couple days ago when I turned on my computer it took about over a minute to go from the loading screen with the Windows logo and the little blue bar that scrolls across, to the window where you choose users. It's just black in the time between it. It was allmost instant changing before the problem. I'm noticing also that my hard drive is making a really loud WURRR noise and the rotations are very strong when I turn it on for about 1 or 2 seconds, stops for 1 or 2 seconds and repeats this for about 3 or 4 minutes. Thanks guys.

Hmm, sounds like I should back up my hard drive  How should I do this? I heard about Norton Ghost but is there a way to use it to actually clone my hard drive to a new one?

almost all hard disks come with a cd rom that will help you do exactly that.

anything made by WD, Seagate, or Maxtor will.
