When conducting backups for Windows Server 2003 SP2, it takes backups a long time to completed. Previously backups would only take 2-4 hours. My backups is currently running and it been over 24 hours and backups are still in progress.

What program are you using for your backups? Also, what device are you using for your backup, external HD, tape, or something else? Is there something else going on while it's running?

I believe the program is Backup Utilty Mirrosoft/Veritas or is NTBACKUPS?

I'm using tape

Approximately how much data are we talking? Is it spread across multiple Servers / Computers.

Have you modified the backup to include anything extra?
