I recently bought an external hard drive to backup the tons of music/files I have on my computer, but it didn't come with any software. Upon trying it manually I realized it takes forever (nearly 3 hours) to back everything up. I'm running a USB 2.0 device with a 1.1 USB drive, I'm sure that contributes to the slow pace. Either way, I realized the Windows XP Backup utility doesn't have an option to automatically shut down the PC when the backup is complete (or maybe I'm not seeing it)....anybody know where this option is, OR any good backup software (hopefully free) that includes this option? That way I can just manually start the backup process at night, go to bed, and let it do its thing. Thank you!
