BackDoor-DMN (Trojan)

Hi I am not very proficient with the computer so apologies for following description of my problem,
my laptop runs Windows XP with McAfee AV and I received a virus alert yesterday 04/Nov/2007 saying that the following virus could not be removed or repaired BackDoor-DMN (Trojan) the infectious file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SHDOCVW32.DLL

When I selected remove I got a warning ‘cannot remove’ but to ‘restart’ and file would be removed upon restart. I did this and on logging on I get a blank desktop only--- no 'start' button, no desktop icons, no internet (wireless) connection, nothing.
Only thing I can do is ctl+alt+del to call task manager. I tried restarting in safe mode but get the same blank desktop, I tried restoring to another date but no use, tells me that no changes were made and cannot restore to this date (or any date)
McAfee list this virus with a Risk Assessment LOW, quite unusual as my laptop is now unusable?

I contacted McAfee and following their suggestions but I am very limited on what I can access through cntrl/alt/delete (this being the only way of getting into the computer with no icons)
I tried right clicking on the desktop but nothing, McAfee asked me to try the 5step process from this web site which included Step 1 - checking through add/remove programmes for known
malware/spyware/adware programs but none were there.
Step 2 – Run an online scan, this I cannot do as my laptop will not now access the internet.
Step 3 – Install spyware blaster etc. I managed that by downloading from my other pc to a mamory stick and accessing it on the laptop through cntrl/alt/delete ‘New Task’
Step 4 – Update the operating system – can not do as no internet access
Step 5 – Post your logs

I would greatly appreciate any help possible!

I have pasted in the various logs as follows:

Please download Combofix from HERE or HERE

Save ComboFix to the desktop.

Please copy this page to *Notepad* and save to your desktop for reference as you will not have any browsers open while you are carrying out portions of these instructions.

It's IMPORTANT to carry out the instructions in the sequence listed below.

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

Open *notepad* and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

KillAll::

File::
C:\Windows\System32\LYLoader.exe
C:\Windows\System32\LYLoadbr.exe
C:\Windows\System32\LYLeador.exe
C:\Windows\System32\LYLoador.exe
C:\Windows\System32\LYLoadar.exe
C:\Windows\System32\LYLoadmr.exe
C:\Windows\System32\LYLoadhr.exe
C:\Windows\System32\LYLoadqr.exe

Registry::
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer\Run]
"MSDEG32"=-
"MSDWG32"=-
"MSDCG32"=-
"MSDOG32"=-
"MSDSG32"=-
"MSDMG32"=-
"MSDHG32"=-
"MSDQG32"=-
Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe which is on the Desktop.

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe

Restart your computer.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt

Please copy and paste the ComboFix.txt along with a fresh HijackThis log in your next reply please.

*Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall*

Thank you Pancake for your help,
however I was in a panic and contacted Dell who basically made me reinstall the system again.
The fact that i had backed up already left this straightforward-ish.
I have spoken to two other people who have had similar problems with this trojan or similar so it appears McAfee need to raise it higher on their problematic scale.
Again, thanks
