OK. I did a scan with AVG free. This is what it found; VIRUS name: Trojan horse Generic2.ATN LOCATION is in my WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.dll
Trojan horse Generic2.AVS this is located in 3 locations.:upset: 1 C:\DOCUME~1\Arthur\LOCALS~1\Temp\emgivmxy.exe other same path but in oboyrdvo.exe
Last one in docs & settings\Arthur\mcwhjwjy.exe
When they were coming in I healed two & Vault 2. Then went into safe mode & did a scan. Now all 4 are in the vault. Also in the vault is an older one. Trojan horse downloader.Generic2.RAR This is in Program Files\Jasc software inc\paint shop pro8\paintshoppro81.exe
I think that I removed Pro 8 from my computer.
Just would like to know the next steps to do. Just vault 'em? Remove them? Also how to full remove all traces off the comuter.:4-dontkno

First try and heal them.
If that option is not available or does not work,
Try to remove them.
If that does not work then Vault them.

Some one else will be around to tell you what else needs to be done, as there may be more things on your computer that AVG is not picking up.

Merry Christmas.

Hey thanks for the info. All of them are vaulted now. Wonder what I should do from there. Merry Christmas too.

Hi.,

Please follow MicroBell's 5 Step process outlined here

After running through all the steps, best thing to do is have one of the HijackThis helpers take a look at a log.

Please download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Double-click on the file you just downloaded.
Click on the "Unzip" button to install. It will by default install to the directory - C:\PROGRAM FILES\HIJACKTHIS\

Double click on HijackThis.exe to run the program.

1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'.
2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log.
3. Post the hijackthis.log file in the HijackThis Log Help forum. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.
