I am using Windows 7.

Avast detected Kill.bat file in system32 folder.

Opened it with notepad and contains these commands-

*
@ECHO OFF

taskkill /f /im explorer.exe

START %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe

exit

Anything to worry about ? Or is this a normal file that is usually in Windows ?

Thanks

Hi, well it's not part of windows, it is a batch file to stop windows explorer (your desktop will go blank), then restart it. I use something similar to clear the Icon cache, as it is I cannot see much use for it, it will however cause no problems. Someone must have put it there (or some app). Up to you, if you want to keep it or delete it.
