Hey all!

I have a motherboard that support an EPS12V power supply, which I don't have yet, however, I do have an ATXGES power supply. I noticed that both have 24 & 8 pin connections, and was wondering if the two are interchangeable at all, before I go out and buy one.

No the GES is for a Dual CPU AMD server board the 8 pin has a 5v lead and a Power ok signal wire 3 12v leads and 3 grounds, the EPS12v has 4 12v leads and 4 grounds.

Ah, I see, is there an adapter that will convert the two?

All I've ever seen converted EPS to GES, but as I remember most of those PSU were 430-470w if your running a quad and a PCIe high power card you'll want a larger supply.

A similar question: Is EPS1U the same as EPS12V? Such as this PSU, it says the connector type is "EPS1U" but says nothing like EPS12V ATX12V, etc.

No EPS1U fits a 1U rack case.
