The ghost operation fails writing to a firewire WD External.
It fails right around writing 4 GB (on the second file).
Any idea what may be causing this?
here is a funny one: in the log in below we have D:\LTGHO001.GHS and the D drive is the CD and E is the FWire device. So, does it look like its loosing the right drive letter??

oh, by the way, these are the actions I have taken:
> reduced the number of files on drive by 20 percent (currently <50 GB)
> chkntfs results = drive not dirty
> scheduled chkdsk /f on C: and results 100% clean on all 5 steps

Try reinstalling the driver for it, and run he manufacturers diagnostic tool on the external drive. It seems like your drive is dieing.

good points
however, the drives are fine, both of them.
There is a range of 64 sectors that Norton Ghost does not like
105079191
105079255
on the C drive.
I have check the C drive and it is 100% flawless.
but then again, there most be something that is bugging the hell out of the Norton software...
yet to be determined.
