When I use ATI Tool is it normal for the clock speed and mem speed to return to normal after reboot? If not then what could be the problem because I have the softmod drivers and check marked the remove clock checkbox.. Is there any other program/method to overclock and make it permenent.

ATITool is a bit complicated when it comes to making an overclock permanent. To do it you do the following:
1) Do a "Set Clock" on your new clock rates.
2) Click the "New" button and create a new profile with your new clock rates.
3) Click the "Settings" button.
4) Select "Startup" from the drop down list at the top of the window.
5) Put a check in the checkbox for "Every time ATITool is launched, load profile:".
6) Select your new profile from the dropdown list. That arranges for the new profile to be loaded whenever ATITool starts.
7) Put a check in the checkbox for "Load on Windows Startup via:" and then select your prefered startup method from the dropdown list.
8) Put a check in the checkbox for "When loaded via Windows Startup, exit after loading above profile".

Simple, eh?
