Hi, I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 128MB video card. Last week I was using my laptop in school and everything was fine, the next day when I tried to use it at home my screen crapped out. I don't think it's my monitor because I ran it in safe mode and this problem didn't happen. Here is a picture:

I tried updating the driver's but it didn't work. I really have no clue what the problem is and everyone I've asked so far isn't sure either. I'd appreciate it if someone could just give me a suggestion or really anything to help me fix this problem, the laptop is only 3 years old and it's been kept it excellent condition.

Thank you.

first thing id try as a diagnostic step if its possible hook the laptop to an external monitor, and see if it does the same thing.when you updated your drivers did you remove the old driver first.as a last resort reformat the machine, and see if that fixes it.if none of the above have any affect the laptops
video may be going bad.
