Windows 7 Pro SP1 4 gig Ram, AMD X6 Processor,550 Watt PSU, lastest video driver installed. I can play Call of duty black ops without problems but when I get on the internet to view a YouTube video or any other little videos I get pink pixels sometimes other colors other times, screen shakes, locks up, then a blue screen. Sometimes it comes back and tells me the video card has recovered from a fatal error. Video card is less than 6 months old. Everything in PC is new. Any idea?

Hi ronvic,

Does it happen to every video you watch on Youtube? What about other sites such has Hulu - Watch your favorites. Anytime. For free. Check ATI's website for any videocard driver updates and then download it and install the latest videocard drivers for your videocard. Before you install the latest videocard drivers though, un-install the current videocard driver installed on your computer.

Also, I recommend testing out a spare videocard on your computer. Hopefully everything works out for you.

Yes, happens with all streaming video on Youtube also the sites you suggested. Did everything you told me to. Downloaded the lastest driver, uninstalled then installed it. Still same thing. Then it blue screen crashes. Don't have another PCI card available to install.

I had a similar problem on my HD4870 card while watching movies that were on the PC. I would get a blue screen and had to wait for it to finish dumping physical memory, then it's back to normal. Found out on another forum it is related to the Catalyst Control Center. Just disable it and check what happens. I just removed it from the Taskbar.

BTW: I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

If the PSU can not supply a consistent output of adequate power. Logisys PSU's are very poor quality.

If you only get this problem when watching online videos, right-click the video, click Settings and remove the checkmark from 'Enable Hardware Acceleration', then hit F5 to refresh the page.

Also, make sure your browser plugins are up to date. (Flash, Web Player, Java, Silverlight, QuickTime, etc)
