Ok I have I think narrowed my search down to these, Can i just Plug and play with these?

Internet all wireless, PS3 on line gaming and Net Flixs, Blu Ray online for netflix and some PSP's and Ipods around the house.

Which is a better unit and which is a better one for someone who doesn't know much about tweaking these things? Thanks a lot

configuring the router for me is something that I am not sure of, I dont what settings i want or dont want, I d love to talk to some one on the phone while I set it up so it was done right, I know nothing about this stuff. All of the diffrent things you guys talk about confuses me. I am also the kind of guy that likes stuff set up to run perfect.

Edit: Opps sorry misinterpret your post my friend.

Any router would do but if your really need the speed, then the router you mention should be good.

If most devices are looking to connect to the internet, you would have to consider your ISP subscription. But as far as home networking/sharing goes you will get the maximum speed as advertised.

My current internet is fine, I can browse the Net and watch netflixs on two diffrent devices at the same time and have plenty of speed.

Amazon only had two bad reviews everything else was great.

Not sure what DMZ is.

Also I have two N Laptops and the rest are G,Do I need to change settings so the router knows this?
and do I have to set what band I want to use?
How do I know what band to use 2.4 or 5?
I am not sure about this kind of stuff.

Well if you're just looking to have a user friendly router, not much you can do. Wireless setup isn't hard to do and it's prefer that you configure the wireless, for security reasons. But most router's these days should be all set for you, the least you would do is set a password.

Hi Joe,

Heavy gamers that's having issues would try to enable DMZ, sometimes this works for a few but you have to know the consequences, it's not safe at all. Enabling DMZ would bypass port-forwading.

Some routers act differently depending on the ISP and how and where your router will be setup. The Asus looks pretty good, let's hope that it will play nice in your network. You won't know what issues you're going to have not until you get the router and set it up. If you encounter any issues, please come back and create a new Thread.
Pretty sure Ill be getting this one ASUS RT-N66U, Unless I hear bad things about it in the next week or so.

I was checking out the D Link 655 but I was told it was outdated. Neveknew it would be this much of a pain to get a router.

Netgear N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (WNDR4500) This one seems pretty good.
