Asus Rampage III Extreme question.

Hello there i am just wondering,

With THIS mobo, there seems to be X2 8-pin power connectors (12v)
Now am i right in assuming that you only need to power one? and
only use both if you are doing some serious over-clocking?

Motherboard power connectors are typically not optional. If they are on the board, they need to be connected.
