I recently purchased a Asus P8P67 PRO motherboard.
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Motherboards - ASUS P8P67 PRO

and im planning to use it with my Intel i5 2500k Sandy Bridge CPU.

But i have a few questions.

I noticed on ebay that there's a "Asus P8P67-M PRO"

What's the "M" mean?
Does it mean micro?

Then what's the difference between Asus P8P67 PRO and Asus P8P67-M PRO?
I looked at them, and they're almost identical..
other than the fact that one is cheaper (Asus P8P67-M PRO).

I also bought 4GB (2x2GB) G.SKILL PI+ Turbulence DDR3 2133 ram.
G.SKILL-Products

Will this ram work with my Asus P8P67 motherboard?
I'm guessing it will.
Right?

and it won't have any problems with my intel i5 2500k cpu either right?

I'm a bit worried it won't work my motherboard or cpu.
Please help me out.

Thanks

2133MHZ RAM is compatible w/ a P8P67 PRO but it requires OC'ing to reach that speed.
1333 or 1600 would be a better option to avoid issues.

Okay,
thank you for your replies.
I need to figure out how to overclock the ram though.
I'll asked on the gskill forum,
and they talk about XMP(?)
but i have no idea what they're talk about.

does anyone know what XMP means?

i thought i just had to go into bios and change the numbers to overclock the ram?
is it not that simple?
sorry im a noob, ive never overclocked anything before ;/
but i really want the 2133MHz speed

Your choice but I really doubt you will notice the speed difference.

Hi there, ive just built my first system using the same MB (P8P67 pro) and wanted to run WHS 2011 on it and am having awfull trouble with drivers for the LAN turns out whs 2011 is still based on out dated 2000/2003 software! and the new style MB just doesnt like it. If you have found a driver that will work with the onboard Lan then if you could let me know u would be my new best friend and save the rest of my hair! lol
