I would like to know if setting the "AI Tuning" option under Jumper free configuration in the BIOS to "Auto" has the effect that the board will sometimes overclock? And if so, I guess setting it to "Standard" will make sure it does not overclock? Is that correct and if not, what is the difference between the two options?

when you enable that ai you got to install a program called ai booster.it will let you overclock inside windows, but dont expect to be able to oc like you do from the bios, however minor tweaking is possible.here is a pic of ai booster on my asus powered comp.

keep in kind we do have different boards.in your bios does it have "ai nos",or "ai overclock" settings.the nos is a bit buggy if you want to use this i suggest the ai overclock.does your motherboard cd have the ai booster software.if not you can set the percentage in your bios, and it will auto-overclock as needed.

Yes I do have those two options. I don't really wanna use them though, since I dont want to overclock I think.

What I really want to know is wheater the "Auto" option DOES overclock? I want to know it because I DON'T want to overclock hehe, so if it does I will set it to "Standard" instead...

ok i havent played with that thing in some time.so i went, and experimented a bit.you can set overclocking option to manual, and adjust fsb to oc.due keep in mind for extreme overclocking there are settings that need to be adjusted that the ai booster cant.for example when you boost up the speed you may need to relax the ram timings a bit.
