Asus P5N-E SLi with E8400

I am thinking of purchasing as e8400 cpu fr my mother board i have a P5N-e SLi and some poeple say that do not run stable with the bios and other people have been able to overlcock them to 4.2Ghz on the board running stable i just want to verify that the mb can run the new 45nm cpu's stable and overlock them. I don't want to buy this chip and find out that I need to buy a new mb to go along with it as my mb is only a month old.

Any help will be gratefull.

ps some people are running these with the the 0603-4 bios which do not support these and poeple running with the 0803 bios which is meant to make the board compatable with these cant get it to run stable.

It is all very confusing.
