I just got this board today and when I try to do a clean install of Windows XP or Vista.....it just won't happen.....It either freezes at the install screen or shut down the computer completely....I have the latest Asus BIOS (v.1002)....Please help....

Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0GHz
Evga 8800gt 512
OCZ P6400 1Gb x 2
260 SATA Harddrive
Asus P5N-E Motherboard

This is what I've done:

1) Install with only one ram.....shutdown on XP during Installing device process

2) Install on IDE.....same problem

3) try to install vista 32-bit....freeze at installation screen

see if you can borrow a larger psu to try in it
