Asus P4C800
P4 2.6GHz 800MHz fsb
2xTwinmos 512MB 400ddrt PC3200

I was trying out the AI Overclocking.
20% worked nice..booted into XP without any problems.
When I tried 30% the system didn't boot.
Nor does it boot now.
The system doesn't even rech the POST screen.
VGA is not initialized, the monitor never leaves standby.
The hdd led and the floppy led is constantly lit, cdr starts spinning (and doesn't stop).
I've tried booting up with no devices at all, and without any ram.
Clearing CMOS didn't do any good either.
I tried booting up without any devices and without any ram, still..nothing.
Everything worked great until that 30%-setting ****ed it up.
Any ideas on what to do?

ouch!!!

Sounds like your screwed.
I am no expert, but have you tried clearing using the jumpers and battery removal?
I was having problems on my P4C800-E and that seemed to clear things up.
Sounds like though you just fried something.
That is what life is all about.
I am just now starting to look into OCing.
Maybe I will make some charcoal out of mine.

Good luck.

I read something about Intel's cooling system and the P4C800 being a very tight fit, causing problems due of tension in the mobo. Dunno what solved my problem, but I cleared CMOS once more, loosened the heatsink and reattached it...Whatever it was, it made my system boot again, and made me a very happy man.
