Hello, i got a serious issue with my laptop.
When i start the computer and press F8
which brings the boot menu up.
I select the "restore to factory settings"
the 2 first times i did this, it took me straight to the boot menu,
select language, "restore entire HDD, etc".
Now the 3 time 1 year later.
Now when i press it, instead of going to the restore menu.
I get automaticly booted in safemode??
Why is it doing this?
please anyone, i seriously need help.
I need that restore function working, since pc's do not come with
a boot Disc these days.

Has there been any hardware changes on the PC?

What is the original issue with the laptop? Any error messages?

Does the laptop successfully load Safe Mode?

Hi. Yeah, i have gotten an error when doing the restore to factory settings. Suddently while recovery in progress, the whole background changes to ERROR in big red letters. and from there i have not been able to do anything with that menu. No hardware changes. But i did turn the laptop off with the button, while it was doing Windows update"before turning off". And am sure i just screwd my whole pc right there?

If the recovery was unsuccessful then you may have to contact ASUS to see if you can get a recovery disc set.

I would also suggest testing the hard drive. You can use the manufacturer diagnostics for this
