Hello,

I'm trying to access the bios on my laptop to I can change a few options to install OSX. However, the bios is password protected :banghead:.
I've tried taking the battery for the CMOS or whatever it is for 30 minutes (No power supply either) and it seemed to work till I get an option to either reset or continue. Either one it makes me enter a password which I don't know... Makes so much bloody sense... Anyways, it's an Asus K60IJ and it has 4GB RAM, an Intel Pentium Dual-Core proccessor, and Intel GMA 4500M.

unfortunately it is against forum rules to assist with bios password resets, for obvious reasons.

FYI more commonly checksum errors mean your cmos battery is bad and needs replaced, generally you would have noticed this though such as the time and date being wrong when the system boots.
