Hey all I have got a ASUS A8VE-DELUXE mobo. What I am trying to do is make sure that Fastwrite should be disabled in BIOS.How do I check this?
I looked all over in the bios which is version 1008.I could not find anything that even mentioned anything about fastwrite.I looked in advanced ,power, under every tab in bios. The problem I got is my video card is not working so I contacted XFX we went through a long checklist and the only thing I could not find to check is this Fastwrite to make sure it is disabled.Because I still have issues with my video card.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Russ:

I hate to rain on your parade / but a 400 watt PSU is a barely able power supply for todays machines / 350 watt psu's were in vogue in 98 on P3 machines !!

Video lag is often the result of very unstable power especailly tru if its a generic or low quality PSU.

I strongly reccommend a 550 watt PSU if your running a updated system and cpu / with a video card that requires 45watts all by its self !!!!

Dont forget todays CPU's are VERY picky about using very clean consisent juice / it does take much of a fluctuation to make them throttle back and get quirky / MOST high quality PSU's are only 70% efficient which translates to your PSU is only capable of putting out approximately 300 watts of clean consistent power ?????

Download this utility (free)
http://www.download.com/3000-2086-10018691.html

then post back with your system temps, cpu temps, system voltages
best to check after you have been gaming for about 20 minutes or run defrag and a virus scanner at the same time for about 20 minutes then post the above recorded in here

food for thought

regards

joe
