I cant seem to get my sound to work on my new system. Asus a8v with athlon 64 3000+ processor and 1 gig of ram.

When I try to install the driver it gives me the message "an error occured during the installation of this device
The required section was not found in the INF"

Anyone got any ideas? I tried the newest drivers from the Asus site and it still did the same thing.

did you uninstall the older drivers completely ?
try safe mode.
