Some one please help me!

I recently bought an asus a7n8x deluxe mobo,
antec tru 480 power supply,
amd athlonxp 1800
geforce4mx

it worked fine for about 1 week, then died!
when i try to power it up now, only the hd led comes one
as well as the power supply fans
NOTHING ELSE!
no power led, no monitor signal, no hd, no fans!

the led on the asus mb is green, telling me that everythign is ok

from my little knowledge, i would think that if it was memory cpu, or hd, you would see error msg! but, monitor doesn't come on
if was vdeo, ewverything would be on...

so is it the mb? or power?
if so, why does the led light green, an the pwr suply fans come on?

help
aleem

This doesn't sound like something that can be diagnosed with the information provided. If I were looking at this issue, I'd start by checking the voltages from the P/S. If that wasn't the problem, I'd remove everything but the video board and try to see if I could get into the BIOS setup at least. Failing that, it's likely to be the MB.

The Tech of the day says ....

Pull off all ur hard drives, Cd-roms, Floppys, PCI cards and the power cables (I'v seen a hard drive with just the power cable pluged in cause a computer not to work more then once) to the hard drives and cd-roms. Reset your BIOS

Turn it on and if you get video then plug up one part at a time and turn it on.

If you dont get video, try an old PCI video card if you have one.
Buy a stick of RAM from your local computer store that has a good return policy. then try a CPU, then PSU.

If none of that works its proably your board. test your other parts in a working computer then get a new board or RMA the old one.

Like the other guy says, its proably the baord.
