I have a local area network on TCP/IP. All the systems are connected to the Switch thru the firewall. Some of the systems have internet connection thru a Broadband router which is connected to the Switch thru the Firewall
I also have a Windows 2003 Active Directory Domain Controller in which DHCP & DNS services are running.
DHCP service is enabled in three places a)Windows DC b) Broadband Router c) Firewall.
Query a) : I would like to maintain only one DHCP service for ease of management. What is the ideal setup?
Query b) : For Internet enabled systems, what is the appropriate setup to assign IP address? DHCP or Static IP?
Kindly guide me
