Aspire One Problem

-I am working on a Acer Aspire One AOA150 for a friend. He just wanted me to clean it up and fix all and virus isues. Because of the virus I had to boot in safe mode to install and run spybot. I ran the check and fell asleep as it wasa taking a while.

-This morning I woke up, and the notebook was off. I attempted to turn it back on and I got nothing. I know about the bios fix. But...I think peoples power leds came on. Were as this one doesnt. I tied the bios flash but the flash drives led didnt even flash.

First thing I did was pulled the battery and put it back in, the battery light flashed orange a few times. I pulled the battry out and only had the a/c on and the notebook didnt do anything at all. Pulledf the a/c out and held the power button for almost a minute to release static charge(heard about it somwere on the net) well that didnt work. So now i am lost.

I can understand hardware failure, but no one had touched the notebook, I had gone to sleep. I was also thinking it may be a faulty power cord? Would the battry light flash a few times even if it were dead?
