Hello to everyone
I'm writing this up on behalf of a friend, whose relative or something has come across a problem. I hope someone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction.
Apparently, when booting the computer he gets an API error and it shut downs again. All I know is that it shows an "API error " pop up, I have asked him to check whether the pop up has any more details and I'll post it as soon as I get it from him. Meanwhile, I am sure a lot of people here must have formed a general Idea about what could be wrong, any help would be real nice. I have tried searching online but couldn't come across this failure. Please do help out with suggestions

Hello: That is probably 'ACPI', not API, and the specific message is required.
