Hey. I have some problems with my motherboard, and I want to know has anyone any knowledge of this motherboard or heard anything negative.

First of all my Comp specs may help.

Intel Rock Lake D865PERL MB -
P4 3.00GHz -
1024MB RAM DDR -
6600GT 128MB AGP -
WD 200GB, WD 120GB -
ZALMAN CNPS7000B CPU Fan -
WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION SP2 -

Basically my prob is that im a gaming guru and yeh i like to wen playing games switch bak to windows to msn or browse or yeh n stuff like that. But when i play most game (Counter-Strike 1.6 for Example) i window key back or alt-tab my way back to windows and then wen im done i click or alt-tab back and all i get is a black screen then back to windows. with the game still running fine. and also some games do this wen loading up.

Ive tried formatting, installing new drivers, using old drivers, and patching games up to date. not one of these solves the problem. And i know for a fact that it aint the games cuz my friends play the same ones and they have no problems with switchin back and forth.

I was wondering if it was the motherboard or possibly the CPU i know it aint my Vid Card ive had different ones and the problem still lingered. So i fu have heard anything about this motherboard now would be a good time to spill.

Also wats the say on getting the

ASUS P4P800-E-DELUXE is this a good board, i havent heard anything bout it yet, or the
Gigabyte GA-8IG1000PRO-G

???? thx for your help guys

on-line gaming

if your'e on-line gaming and you switch back and forth its possible your'e
not letting your'e monitor refresh quickly enough hence the blk screen.

as far as toggling is concerned check with the gaming sections for
helpful hints.

as for the p4p 800-e deluxe i'm currentlyn in a build mode on one
i'll post the yeng and the yangs of it in a week or so.
aptly its a clean board bettyer used in tower case than compact ones
due to its tightly packed connectors for ide drives sata connectors .
you need a lot of space to reroute your'e cableing for proper cooling.

good luck

greetings

2 questions for you

how many case fans do you have, and have you tried running the game with your side off and a floor fan blowing in to eliminate the heat issue.

and also tell us about your power supply...make/model and capacity

good point on off market psu's

whodatknocking excellent point.

if its an after market bargin basement case and psu .
it may not like his motherboard and the p4 types are funny about their
voltage to current wattage ranges .different case manufactures designed
their cases with different materials;hence different mountings for psu's
different tensil strength in the metals for the framework.
thus you will have a difference the way you cool your'e case and internal
components will behave . check out the segment on testing with a multimeter.
and some modders mag articals. tom's hardware forum
their's some articals in maxium pc issues on air circulating in a pc.

hope this helps
