Hi sk8z3r04lif3, unless you go with a refurbed board that is the going price for motherboards using that chipset. I paid about the same for 2 MSI boards with the 690G chipset, but I got free shipping from Newegg at the time. I'm running one board with a video card and the other with onboard video, no problems with either. Mike
