Good day,
This is my first post here and looking for advice on Antivirus on Windows Servers, I have a mix of mainly 2012 R2 and 2016 servers with one 2003 & one 2008 which I will be de-commissioning soon.
The servers currently have Kaspersky installed and the subscription is coming to an end soon and looking for an alternative.
I have a Hybrid environment with no online VM's, all servers are VMWare on-site.
I have been looking into a MS Defender subscription and running a test with a 2012 R2 and 2016 onboarded but the 2012 R2 server does not appear to have much functionally compared to 2016.
I am going to upgrade all the 2012 severs but this is going to take most of 2023 as complex task.
Can anyone recommend a good solution to AV on on-prem servers? is Defender a viable option?
